Family Time is My Favorite Time

Today we decided to spend some family time together in Center City. It was a warm day and there’s nothing better than walking around enjoying the city. So we packed the diaper bag and headed out. We went to South St. since it’s full of shops and stuff, but it wasn’t as nice as I remember it to be. I always loved to go there and shop but they didn’t have any good stores. We went to eat at Reading Terminal Market, which is a farmers market with a variety of amazing food.

Bobby had gumbo from a creole restaurant, he said it was delicious. They even had alligator, but he wasn’t ready to try that.

I had the chicken wings from the Amish market. They taste so fresh and homemade. The wings are just seasoned and you can put a homemade hot sauce on them if you want. I just like them dry.  When I saw the banana pudding, I had to try it. Bobby recently introduced me to this spectacular dessert, I love it. This was also sold by the Amish, it was tasty but I think Golden Correll still has the best banana pudding I’ve had.  Daddy and his boy!

Reading Terminal Market has so many different stores. They had a handmade soap and candle store, I didn’t get a chance to check it out but I definitely want to next time we go. There is also a bakery, handmade quilts, fresh fish, fruit and veggies, and tons of great food. It’s the perfect place to go to buy fresh, homemade, locally grown goodies!
 

  Baby B was such a good boy. He loved to look at all the different colors and objects. He sat in his car seat looking up almost the whole time. I love to watch him experience things for the first time. Even though he may not remember we will be able to show him pictures and videos of his childhood. He looks so serious in all of the pictures we took, he’s showing his “mean mug”! After we ate we just walked around. We passed City Hall which is one of the most prettiest buildings Philadelphia has. It has the tiniest details, I can just imagine how much time it took to construct. In every big city there is a china town, this is the entrance to ours. The coloring and detail are beautiful.  We had an amazing day, and we don’t get to have them that often. With a new baby, time goes by so quickly, it’s nice to just take in precious time as a family.
